_Yelena Myshko is a label which I sew into the garments that I create.
My work is conceptual in it's own right. I like to dig deep and collect loads of information to decide what steps I will be taking in the design process, comparable to relying on an oracle to decide your future... The products must evolve naturally, without force, or they become trapped in embrional stage. To create, I have to allow myself to take the time, to be slow...
My work is organic and ornate, with a rough edge to it. I do not work in seasons. Collections evolve by going back to, and reinterpreting initial inspirations:
identity, culture and biopolitics.
